This Aerosmith t shirt features a full colout distressed print of lead guitarist Joe Perry. Before forming Aerosmith with Steven Tyler, Perry was in a band he formed called The Jam Band. He then began his Aerosmith career and the band achieved great success , with several hits in the 70's. Because of their hard-drinking and drug use, Tyler and Perry became known as "the Toxic Twins". The lifestyle eventually became to much for the band to hold it together and after a backstage row, Perry left Aerosmith in 1979 and formed his own band "The Joe Perry Project". They were well respected as a live band, but record sales were disappointing. Perry returned to Aerosmith in 1984 after making up with Steven Tyler and has been with them since then. After the success fo the Run DMC collaboration "Walk This Way", Aerosmith came back into the limelight and have ahd a string of hits since then, touring almost every year up to the present day.
