This girls Queen tshirt features a print showing Queen guitar player Brian May. May's first band 'Smile' was formed in 1969 with fellow Queen drummer Roger Taylor, they and were signed by Mercury Records shortly after their formation. Also in 1969 Smile were introduced to Farrokh Bulsara who later joined the band as their singer. Bulsara encouranged Smile to change their name and so Brian May came up with 'Queen' which was agreed upon by the other members. Bulsara went on to change his name to Freddie Mercury. Queen became hugely successful, the highlight of their career being the original 1985 Live Aid concert, in which Queen excelled. As well as being a guitar legend, Brian May also studied astrophysics - a type of astronomy which looks at the science and physics of our Universe. May recently co-wrote "Bang! - The Complete History of the Universe" with Chris Lintott and Patrick Moore, published in 2006. He is also the Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University.
