This Queen t shirt features an image of their lead guitar player Brian May. May formed his first band with Queen drummer Roger Taylor in 1969, they called the band 'Smile' and were quickly signed by Mercury Records. In the same year Smile were introduced to Farrokh Bulsara who joined the band as lead vocalist and encouranged Smile to change the bands name. Brian May came up with 'Queen' and that was agreed as the new name. Bulsara later changed his name to Freddie Mercury. Queen went on to become a massively successful band, one of their crowning achievements being the Live Aid concert of 1985, in which Queen stole the show. Brian May is also an astrophysicist - a form of astronomy which deals with the science and psysics of the Universe. He recently co-authored "Bang! - The Complete History of the Universe" with Patrick Moore and Chris Lintott, which was published in 2006. He is also Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University. This is a 100% cotton Brian May of Queen tshirt.
