This The Animals t shirt features an image of lead singer Eric Burdon. The Animals were formed in Newcastle in 1962. They recorded huge hit singles such as "The House of the Rising Sun" and "We've Gotta Get Out Of This Place". In '66 the oringinal lineup had split and Burdon re-formed the band with new members, re-naming the band Eric Burdon and The Animals, sometimes referred to as Eric Burdon and The New Animals, although they didn't actually adopt this name until 1998. The original lineup of The Animals have had two reunions, one in 1975 when they released the album "Before We Were So Rudely Interrupted", and the second in 1983 when they released the album "Ark". This was the last time the band performed together and since then the original drummer John Steel won the rights to the name "The Animals", meaning Eric Burdon no longer has control of it.
