This ladies Clash t-shirts features a painting by Ray Lowry, the official artist who documented the band on the road on their US tour in 1979.

It shows Joe, Mick and Paul live on stage, the reds and yellows give a feeling of intensity.
Ray would sketch the band whilst they played, often standing at the back of the gig or side of stage, he would then return to his hotel room and work late into the night to finish the piece adding colour from memory. 
Ray captures the personalities and movement of the individual band members can be seen. Ray also captured the raw energy of the performance, which demonstrates why Joe Strummer selected Ray as the bands war artist.
