This Clash logo t-shirt is painted by The Clash's official war artist Ray Lowry. Ray created the logo whilst on the Clash’s 1979 American tour. As the Clash's official artist Ray documented the tour which he showcased in the book and DVD ‘UP CLOSE and PERSONAL’ as seen through Rays eyes.

The colour and style of the logo hints at some of Ray’s larger abstract work, which is now rare and collectable. Ray said of his abstract work that it represents reflections of various states of mind or indeed mindlessness.
