Born James Newell Österberg Jr, Iggy Pop AKA The King of Punk AKA The Rock Iguana is a hugely enigmatic performer with a tendency to take drugs, leap off stage, self harm and expose himself during performances. Although he has not had huge mainstream success, he has had several big hits including "The Passenger", "Lust For Life" and "Real Wild Child". He performed between 1968 and 1975 with his band The Stooges, who have reformed to play several gigs since 2003. He has also had small parts in several movies including "Sid and Nancy", "The Colour of Money", "The Crow: City of Angels" and "Coffee and Cigarettes" among others.
