Freddie King - nicknamed The Texas Cannonball was an blues legend, working as a recording artist from '53 to '75. His best loved tracks include "Have You Ever Loved a Woman" and "Hide Away. He died in '76, but left a legacy that still exists. The state of Texas declared Sept 3rd 1993 "Freddie King Day" in his honour, only the third time this had been done, with the previous two being Buddy Holly and Bob Wills.
