Ray Lowry t-shirts inspired by The Clash
Ray Lowry (1944-2008) was a cartoonist and illustrator who contributed satirical pieces to the likes of NME, The Guardian and Private Eye. Lowry met The Clash at The Sex Pistols's notorious Anarchy tour appearance at Manchester's Electric Circus. He went on to become good friends with the band, accompanying them on their 1979 USA tour and creating the album cover for London Calling from a photo by Pennie Smith. These distinctive t-shirts feature illustrations by Ray Lowry as well as concert passes he collected during his time with The Clash.
