Grohl wants to take Foo Fighters back to basics

Although you may think that international superstars like Foo Fighters have outgrown the need to record albums in their basements, it seems Dave Grohl would disagree.
The Foo’s front man has said that he wants to make the band’s next album in his garage and take things back to basics.
Grohl said: “The way you make an album dictates the way it sounds,” adding that the band are “getting our old tape machines out so that we can just do it like we used to”.
Since releasing their self-titled first album back in 1995, the group have had a string of hits with songs like Monkeywrench, Everlong and Times Like These and in 2009, they released a greatest hits album.
So, with Dave Grohl deciding to go back to old methods to make latest Foo Fighters record, maybe its time to dig out a couple of vintage T-shirts and try something old again yourself.
And it won’t just be the methods that are old school, the band have announced that they’re hooking up with Nirvana producer Butch Vig this time around.
