Look around Hendrix home in music T-shirt Music fans will almost certainly be interested in the opening of a London house that has a rich history behind it.

The property, located at number 23 Brook Street, used to be the home of guitarist Jimi Hendrix.

And some 200 years earlier in the mid-17th century, it was also the address of legendary composer George Handel.

Now it is being opened up to mark the 40th anniversary of the death of Hendrix, who passed away in unexplained circumstances in 1970.

Fans of the guitarist planning to visit his former accommodation may wish to take my advice and do so in a music T-shirt paying tribute to the star.

It is thought Hendrix paid just £30 in rent each week to stay in Brook Street for the duration of his time in London in 1968.

The house opening will be organised by the Handel House Museum, located at the property, from September.ADNFCR-2904-ID-19781700-ADNFCR
