U2 return to the stage

U2 have returned to the stage for the first time since lead singer Bono injured his back in May.
Fans of the group – famed for hits such as Beautiful Day, Vertigo and Sunday Bloody Sunday – may wish to celebrate the news by picking up a new music T-shirt featuring a portrait of Bono.
The band aired three new songs to the audience in Turin on Friday (August 6th), including a track called Glastonbury, named after the festival the group were set to headline earlier this year.
The other new tracks played were an acoustic ballad called North Star and a live intro entitled Return Of The Stingray Guitar.
Frankfurt’s Commerzbank Arena will be the next stop for the band tomorrow evening.
Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis recently confirmed he has asked U2 to perform on the Pyramid stage on the Friday at next summer’s event, although it was not made clear if the group had agreed to play.
