Metallica plan new EP release Metallica have revealed they will release a new live EP featuring tracks recorded during shows in Australia.

Entitled Six Feet Down Under, the recording will be made available from the group’s official website from September to signal the end of their World Magnetic tour.

Fans of the band may also wish to pick up a new music T-shirt paying tribute to the US rockers from the range available at 8ball.co.uk.

The eight-track EP, which has been put together by the band with the help of fan recordings, features performances stretching from 1989 up to 2004.

Writing on their website the band stated: “You guys, the fans, came to our rescue with some pretty decent bootleg options and we trimmed those down to two songs from each tour in 1989, 1993, 1998 and 2004.”

They added it occurred to them they had some tracks that had never before been released as live b-sides. ADNFCR-2904-ID-800060571-ADNFCR
