Pay tribute to Marley with music T-shirt

Bob Marley fans can pay tribute to the iconic reggae star with a music T-shirt after the family of the singer yesterday (September 14th) lost a copyright battle with Universal Music Group.
The legend’s wife and children launched legal action against the company over the ownership of five of the late star’s albums.
They were seeking millions of pounds worth of damages after claiming the group had intentionally withheld royalties from them and failed to consult with them on key licensing decisions, such as using Marley’s music on mobile phone ringtones.
However, New York-based judge Denise Cote ruled under US copyright law that the five records – Rastaman Vibrations, Exodus, Catch A Fire, Natty Dread and Burning – are “works made for hire”.
This means the albums are the property of Universal Music Group, which was the parent company of Marley’s label Island Records between 1973 and 1766 when the tracks were recorded.
Fans of the legendary singer could opt for a music T-shirt depicting the image of one of the albums in order to show their allegiance to the superstar.
