Former Oasis drummer to release book

Oasis’ founder member and former drummer Tony McCarroll has said he feels like he is going up against “a global brand” by releasing a book giving his version of events in the group.
Entitled Oasis: The Truth, McCarroll recalls a number of arguments with Noel Gallagher before the songwriter had him sacked in 1995.
He admitted to the NME the book is likely to divide public opinion and may change the perception of some people about life in the band.
“I’m doing this for me, at the end of the day. It’s my little opinion and I’m speaking for the little man,” he said.
He added it seems unlikely his relationship with the guitarist can be repaired, stating he “offered the olive branch many times”.
