Glastonbury sells out in four hours Tickets for next year’s Glastonbury Festival sold out in just four hours after going on sale yesterday (October 3rd).

In a statement on the event’s official site, festival organisers Michael and Emily Eavis thanked people for their patience with the booking system after thousands tried to purchase tickets online and over the phone.

They said: “We’re very sorry to those of you who didn’t get tickets, and acknowledge there were some issues with the website/phoneline due to the sheer volume of people trying to get through.”

Glastonbury 2011 will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton with an as-yet unconfimed line up of music billed between June 24th and 26th.

People attending the event may wish to pick up a T-shirt in honour of one of the stars of this summer’s festival such as Stevie Wonder.
