Red Devils fans set to be United Against Glazer Manchester United fans are set to hold a protest against the Glazer family’s ownership of the club this weekend.

The Red Devils take on Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday (October 30th) amid growing media coverage of the finances of their owners following the recent Wayne Rooney saga.

Supporters groups are urging fans to join the march by meeting at Trafford Bar before it commences at 16:15 BST.

The plans for the protest were drawn up by an independent group of fans working under the title United Against Glazer, who state they wish to show a “clear display of unity against the Glazer ownership”.

According to the United Against Glazer website, the aim of the demonstrations is to install an ownership that has “the long term interest of the club and its supporters at its heart”.

United secured a 3-2 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Carling Cup last night and fielded a team including youngsters Federico Macheda, Bebe, Chris Smalling and Gabriel Obertan.
