Kanye West is a man known for speaking his mind and saying what he thinks and has continued the tradition with his latest comments.

Speaking to The Sun, the rapper praised British music and then went one step further by claiming Coldplay could be bigger than The Beatles.

“I have worked with Chris Martin and the man is a genius – as a performer and a songwriter he is on the same level as John Lennon,” he said.

He added they could go down in history and be recognised as the best act of all time, before adding he would to collaborate on an album with them.

Chris Martin previously recorded the chorus on Kanye’s song Homecoming, from his hit album Graduation.

Fans of the band – made up of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion and Guy Berryman – might not necessarily agree with Kanye but could show their love of the band with a pop t-shirt from 8ball.co.uk.
