Peter Hook to record EP of Joy Division songs Peter Hook has announced he will record a four-song EP consisting of Joy Division songs.

The band’s former bassist told SlicingUpEyeballs.com he will work alongside his group The Light and former Happy Mondays singer Rowetta.

“She [Rowetta] wants us to record an EP of the four [Joy Division songs] that she sings [live]. Which are Insight, New Dawn Fades, Atmosphere and a track called Pictures,” he told the website.

Hook added the versions of the songs with Rowetta singing have a really nice quality and showcase the depth of Ian Curtis’ lyrics.

It has recently been revealed Hook is to take Joy Division’s classic album Unknown Pleasures on a tour of the US next month.

Fans of the band may like to opt for one of the range of alternative t-shirts available in their honour from 8ball.co.uk.
