Phil Collins confirms musical departure

Phil Collins has confirmed he will not be returning to the music industry.
The musician – whose last solo studio album was last year’s Going Back – reaffirmed his desire to hang up the microphone and the drum sticks following a succession of health issues in recent years during an interview with FHM.
Referring to the criticism he received during his career, Collins said: “I don’t think anyone’s going to miss me.”
Oddly, the former crooner made an apology to fans for the success he enjoyed throughout his years in the music business.
“I’m sorry that it was all so successful. I honestly didn’t mean it to happen like that. It’s hardly surprising that people grew to hate me,” he added.
The ex-Genesis drummer and singer claimed his inability to play music does not bother him as he is now more focused on family life.
He also admitted to feeling a little out of place within today’s music scene.
Fans of Phil Collins should celebrate his musical success by buying t-shirts honouring his work with Genesis from 8ball.co.uk
