Radiohead newspaper contributor 'was given editorial freedom' A contributor to the Radiohead newspaper has spoken of the editorial freedom the band gave her.

Author Jay Griffiths wrote a piece for The Universal Sigh – a free publication that was released on Monday (March 28th) – and told NME the group were not at all strict about what they wanted her to produce.

“All they said was that it was going to be a free newspaper given out internationally about woods, trees and forests,” she commented.

Frontman Thom Yorke handed out copies of the newspaper in London, but the publication was distributed globally to accompany the physical release of the band’s new record The King of Limbs.

Ms Griffiths explained how she is experienced in writing on such topics and said the lack of guidelines provided her with a “fantastic” opportunity.
