Release of musical scored by U2 members delayed The launch of a Broadway musical that is scored by U2 members Bono and The Edge has been put back until June.

Work on Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark began in 2002, but its opening night has been delayed a sixth time to allow for major changes to the show, reports the New York Times.

It was speculated that staff on the production felt a significant revamp was required following negative reviews from the press.

“The songs by Bono and The Edge are rarely allowed to take full, attention-capturing form. Mostly they blur into a sustained electronic twang of varying volume … like a persistent headache,” the newspaper’s Ben Brantley wrote last month.

Various events have led to hold-ups in the past, including financial problems in 2009 and injuries to members of the cast last year.
