Paul Simon to play Glastonbury?
filed in Music News on Apr.06, 2011
Paul Simon could be set to perform at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
In an interview with efestivals.co.uk, event organiser Michael Eavis hinted the singer-songwriter may fill the gap on the bill reserved for a classic musical act.
“We’ve got one old boy slot on the afternoon, the legends slot,” he said.
When asked if this was held for Simon, he replied: “I can’t confirm that at the moment.”
Simon – whose singles include One-Trick Pony, You Can Call Me Al and The Obvious Child – was recently linked to performing this year with Art Garfunkel.
Garfunkel explained in an interview with Billboard.com how he may be able to play again with Simon towards the end of 2011 as his voice continues to improve following a bout of vocal cord paresis.
Fans of Paul Simon might wish to credit the singer-songwriter’s time performing with Art Garfunkel by purchasing Simon & Garfunkel music t-shirts from 8ball.co.uk in anticipation of future performances.
