Veteran rockers AC/DC have been peddling their brand of energetic guitar mayhem for nearly 40 years now and you have to admire their longevity.
First formed in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, the group have garnered a huge number of ‘hall of fame’ nominations, as well as selling more than 200 million albums worldwide.
Speaking to the Sun, guitarist Angus suggested the group are proud to have survived through the many fads that have come around over the years.
“We have such diehard fans, old and new. We’ve survived many changing fashions of music – we’ve outlived the lot of them,” the 56-year-old told the newspaper.
Their best-selling record is still Back in Black, which has shifted 49 million units. This makes it the second most popular album of all time behind Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
While Angus may still enjoy wearing his schoolboy costume when he takes the stage, fans can get their hands on AC/DC retro t-shirts at 8ball.co.uk.
