Bieber’s “Balls Have Dropped”!
filed in Celebrities, Music News on Nov.07, 2011
Now that’s a strange title for a blog post, even by 8Ball’s standards. The Bieb has been featuring regularly in the showbiz headlines of late; first he was accused of fathering a baby to Miss Mariah ‘Definitely-Not-Doing-It-For-the-Money’ Yeater, then he cleans up at the VMA’s and the latest is that he is officially entering manhood.
That’s right folks, at the tender age of 17 the squeaky clean pop star might not be so squeaky for much longer. We could soon have a little Barry White on our hands. “How do you know this?” we hear you cry. Well, it was announced by his manager, Scooter Braun in a recent interview.
After hearing a recording of Justin Bieber earlier in the year, Mariah Carey suggested that they record a duet of her Christmas hit, ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’. When they got into the studio, Bieber found it incredibly difficult to reach the high notes, and that’s when his management knew something was up (or down, as it were).
Manager, Braun stated, “vocally his balls have dropped”. What this means for his career remains to be seen. Puberty has destroyed many a career in the past and Bieber needs to really come up with the goods once his voice finally breaks to survive the cruel and fickle world of music.
Carey insisted that they recorded the track, which will be released in the coming weeks, was recorded in its original key. That’s no easy feat for most female vocalists, so fair play to the Bieber for getting through the recording. Oh dear, did we really just congratulate Justin Bieber, albeit in a round about way? It must be the changing of the seasons!
In an interview after the recording was finished, Bieber said, “Yes, that was high. But I grinded it out and we got it down.” Perhaps he’s confusing his time in the studio with his ‘encounter’ with Mariah Yeater.
So, millions of teeny-boppers around the world will be hoping and praying that this won’t mark the beginning of the end of Bieber’s career. We’ll just have to wait and see.
The Bieb may have outgrown them now, but take a look at our kids tshirts. Start your Christmas shopping early at 8Ball.
