South Park extended until 2016. F*** Yeah!

South Park first hit the screens in 1997, and is now in its 15th season. Like millions of fans, we can’t get enough of this animated masterpiece of take-no-prisoners comedy. Who else can pull off everything from fart jokes to anti-corporate satire and keep getting laughs after 14 years?
So what better early Christmas present could we hope for than the awesome news that South Park has been commissioned for another three seasons by US cable network Comedy Central?
Matt Parker and Trey Stone, South Park’s creators, only had a contract to write and direct the show until 2013, but will now continue until at least 2016, taking South Park into its 20th season.
Stone and Parker released a statement saying “Comedy Central has been our home for 15 years and we love working there. South Park is a blast and we can’t wait to make more.”
Michele Ganeless, president at Comedy Central, said “the collective genius of Matt and Trey knows no bounds. Week after week and season after season they continue to surprise and delight South Park fans, and that includes all of us here at Comedy Central… We’re thrilled that the adventures of Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman will continue through 2016.”
We can only speculate as to where Matt and Trey will take the show next, but one thing’s for sure, we want to see much more of this guy!
