The greatest moustaches from the world of film
filed in Celebrities, New Tshirts on Nov.06, 2011
It’s Movember guys, which means we’ve got some awesome pull-up moustache tees for you (£4 goes to charity for each t-shirt sold). We also thought this would be an opportune time to compile our top 10 favourite moustaches from the movies…
10. Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
A classic 70s ‘tache worn like a pro by Ferrell.
9. John Neville as Baron Munchausen in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen
Doesn’t get much more resplendent than this.
8. Jeffrey Jones as Edward Rooney in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
For all out sliminess, nothing can compete.
7. Sam Elliott as The Stranger in The Big Lebowski
The moustache of a man who’s seen things. Lots of things.
6. Brad Pitt as First Lieutenant Aldo Raine in Inglorious Basterds
Pitt seemed to enjoy sporting this a bit too much, but it’s perfect for the character.
5. Steve Martin as Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau in The Pink Panther
A modern classic in the canon of comedy moustaches.
4. Samuel L Jackson as Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction
Could anyone else make this handlebar ‘tache / mutton-chop combo look quite so cool? No, motherfucker.
3. George Clooney as Ulysses Everett McGill in O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Clooney’s character just wouldn’t be complete without this perfectly sculpted piece of facial art.
2. Sacha Baron Cohen as Borat
Ridiculous moustaches don’t get much better than this.
1. Charlie Chaplin in anything
Chaplin had the Hitler ‘tache before it was cool. OK, it was never cool, but he had it before Hitler. ‘Nuff said.
So, that’s our top 10, but we do have one final Brucey Bonus for you. We left this out of the list because of its sheer preposterousness – it doesn’t make the slightest attempt at authenticity, but that’s what makes it so great. Daubed on with grease paint, this is a thing of pure genius. Ladies and gentleman… Groucho Marx.
