We all remember when the 80s fashion sported by some of the stars was the must-have look.

But apparently the reunion wasn’t anything too unusual. Actress Molly Ringwald, who is probably best known for her Brat Pack roles in Pretty in Pink and the Breakfast Club, told WENN blog that the group catch up quite often.

“We run into each other every so often. We all have very different lives and careers but we usually get together at least every couple of years for one reason or another,” she said.

There’s always a lot of debate about which former teenage stars actually comprise the Brat Pack.

Most people can agree that Molly Ringwald, Emilo Estevez, Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Andrew McCarthy, Judd Nelson, Anthony Michael Hall and Ally Sheedy are the core group.

But big names such as Robert Downey Jr, John Cussack and even Tom Cruise were all linked with the group at one time or another.

Fans of the original 1985 flick may well find its crude special effects part of the charm but those will no doubt be left behind and revamped.

If the LA Times is to be believed, then the new screenplay – which is being penned by Marti Noxon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame – will see the central character discover that his neighbours are vampires.

We’ll have to wait and see on that score but the newspaper seems pretty confident in its assertion that Craig Gillespie is the director of choice for Dreamworks.

The Australian, who’s probably best known for his 2007 movie Lars and the Real Girl, is apparently in negotiations with the studio over the project.

More details will no doubt emerge as the film progresses and if successful, it could inspire a new range of Fright Night Tee shirts.

In an interview with Shadowlocked, art director of the original film Roger Christian not only revealed that it’s due to be shot in 3D but that there could even be more than one movie on the cards.

He said: “I’m hoping he’ll revive another three. The world certainly wants it and the fans want it.”

The latest offering could spark a whole new range of Alien T-shirts and hopefully the film will include some more horrifyingly memorable moments like the alien bursting out of John Hurt’s stomach.

It’s hard to believe that the first of the Alien movies was released more than 30 years ago. The horror franchise has led to a host of spin-offs, including the Alien vs Predator series.

Christian added that making movies in 3D is “brilliant” for the horror genre.

Now it’s the turn of Police Academy. Children of the 80s probably laughed at the bumbling antics of the inept law enforcers who somehow always managed to come out on top.

And some of us may even have some sneaky Police Academy T-shirts hidden away somewhere but is it a good idea to try and breathe new life into the franchise?

Well New Line clearly thinks so and the Hollywood Reporter revealed that original producer Paul Maslansky is back on board for the latest set of movies.

But there’s no writer or director associated with the project yet and no word whether it’ll be a one-off or a series of films destined to be re-shown every Christmas.

Maslansky told the showbiz website that he thinks the project will be “very worthwhile” and added: “We hope to discover new talent and season it with great comedians.”

He also said that it’ll feature a new class but you’ve got to wonder whether Commandant Lassard or Sergeant Mahoney will be making a cameo appearance in there somewhere.

According to Mike Fleming at Deadline New York, the veteran director has cast Marion Cotillard to star opposite Owen Wilson in his as yet untitled movie that’s going to be shot in Paris later in the year.

Of course, we’d expect to see people donning their Woody Allen T-shirts for the release of his next film – You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger – which is due to hit cinemas in September.

Meanwhile, everyone’s keen to find a bit more about his movie with Wilson, and now Cotillard – star of Public Enemies and Nine.

Another rumour that’s flying around is that Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, former model and now wife to French president Nicolas Sarkozy, is set to appear in the film.

Details are still very vague about the storyline so it looks like we’ll have to wait for any information to emerge from the set this summer if we’re to be enlightened before it hits the big screen.

Now it seems that quirky director Tim Burton has decided he’d like to present his own take on the fantasy/horror theme.

But, as we all know from some of his previous offerings, it’s not going to be like anything we’ve seen before.

Die-hard fans of the director will no doubt have Tim Burton Tee shirts sporting images from films such as Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice or even his latest offering Alice in Wonderland.

He’s not going to be doing this alone though as he’ll be collaborating with Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov.

And they’ve picked an unusual story (would you expect anything else though?). It’s set to be a movie adaptation of the recently released novel Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

The book by Seth Grahame-Smith re-imagines the US president as a highly trained vampire assassin – it sounds right up Burton’s street.

If you want to know what’s in store for the film, you might want to pick up a copy. It was released on general sale at the beginning of this month.

But while the media have been busy with those two, Quentin Tarantino has been observing and is ready to cause an upset.

Speaking to the BBC he said: “I think we’re definitely in the race, I think it’s anybody’s game.”

Could he be right? Inglourious Basterds picked up eight nominations, just one behind both Hurt Locker and Avatar, including best director, best actor in a supporting role (for Christoph Waltz) and best picture.

There are plenty of fans who would no doubt agree, sporting their various Quentin Tarantino T-shirts in support of the director.

He’s been doing pretty well lately, picking up an award for his outstanding contribution to cinema from the London Film Critics’ Circle last month, as well as a host of other honours for his World War II flick.

Although he’s firmly installed in the guitar legend category himself, the rocker is set to include some classic tunes on his forthcoming offering.

In an interview with Billboard magazine, he unveiled some of the songs and collaborations for his new project.

They include a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s Little Wing with Joe Cocker, Sunshine of your Love by Cream with Rob Thomas – who previously hooked up with Santana for Smooth on his Supernatural album – and a version of Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water.

Fans with Santana Tshirts will no doubt be getting excited at the prospect of a new album featuring some of the best rock songs around.

But the man himself was keen to stress that he’s not trying to outdo the originals.

“We’re not comparing or competing with those artists – we’re complementing them,” he told the magazine, adding: “Like Wayne Shorter says, it’s completely new, totally familiar.”

Tickets for Exit Through The Gift Shop sold out within minutes on February 23rd, for the nine-day run of special showings taking place in London ahead of its nationwide release on March 5th.

In true Banksy style, the cinema hosting the movie is a makeshift auditorium housed in a tunnel under the Waterloo train tracks called the Lambeth Palace.

There will no doubt be plenty of fans wearing Banksy T-shirts at the venue over the coming week.

As well as seeing the film ahead of everyone else, anyone who has managed to get hold of some tickets should probably get there a little early to have a look round the foyer, which displays a host of Banksy art.

The artist said that he’d arranged the screenings for “normal people” so that they can watch the film “before the celebrities get stains all over the furniture”.

Exit Through the Gift Shop had its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in the US and was also shown at the Berlinale last week.

According to the Heat Vision blog, Rourke was offered the part back in January but negotiations between the studio and the actor fell apart.

Now they’re back at the table, but with filming due to start in March, they’d better not take too long to hash out a deal.

Former Baywatch actor Jason Momoa will be baring his chest and wielding a big sword as Conan in the action flick.

The plot will see the warrior taking revenge for the killing of his family and other residents of his village.

Some people with Conan the Barbarian T-shirts may be disappointed that there was no mention of Arnold Schwarzenegger – star of the 1982 movie – taking on the part of Corin.

You can’t have it all and he’s probably too busy in California anyway to disappear to Bulgaria for filming.

Film makers decided to reboot the franchise and now we’re starting to see the first snippets of the new movie.

The Shock Till You Drop website has published four new stills of the latest horror spectacular and it looks pretty gruesome.

First published on German film site MovieGod.de, they feature the trademark slashes inflicted by the killer’s gloves.

Empire magazine also pointed out the latest poster, which has appeared on MySpace, gives a surprisingly clear image of the new incarnation of Freddy Krueger.

You can expect some new Nightmare on Elm Street tee shirts to appear in the coming months, to go alongside the retro tee shirts on offer.

Set to be released in the UK on May 7th, it’s hard to believe that the first Nightmare film is more than 25 years old and that Freddy Krueger will be terrifying another generation of movie lovers.

The news came straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak, with Bruce Willis revealing that Die Hard 5 is definitely on the cards in an interview with MTV.

Fans will probably already be reaching for their Die Hard T-shirts!

Not content with just starring in the movie, Willis revealed that he’s got some ideas for a potential plot.

“Well, it’s got to go worldwide,” he told the entertainment channel, “that would be my contribution to [the next movie].”

It’s quite impressive that the franchise survived its resurrection back in 2007, with the movie well-received by fans.

But it’s still a scary thought that the first film was released back in 1988 – with Alan Rickman playing a suitably ruthless bad guy.

So, there’s no title, no script and as yet, no director – although Willis said he’d like to see Len Wiseman back at the helm – but it’s still worth getting excited over.
