From the world altering implications of new US president elect Barack Obama last week, to the potentially earth shattering new series of ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here‘ this week; the new line up of the bug munching, tree swinging, tear laden, and career wrecking series has been released!

Do we care? Not really, except for the potentially unmissable addition of George ‘Mr Sulu’ Takei from the Star Trek series, to the cast. We noted with some interest William ‘the shat’ Shatner’s tirade against him as reported last week, to recap:
Apparently outraged that George Takei had not invited him to his gay wedding, William Shatner let loose an internet video in which he called George Takai “sick” and “psychotic.” He also claimed that Takei’s contributions to the old classic Star Trek series had been “minimal” and that Shatner barely remembered him ever being on the set.

Like watching two of your grandparents squabble like children, George Takei hit back, claiming Shatner had not responded to the wedding invite, accusing the TJ Hooker stars’ outbursts as “rantings and ravings.”
So, we hope a co-contestant on ‘I’m a Celebrity..’ asks him what the hell went on so we can find out.
Amusingly, George Takei has no idea what the show is about, but seems to have taken his agents advice that it would be good for his career…hmmm…nothing like spending time humiliating yourself with a bunch of washed up z-list celebs, grasping to their last shred of dignity to keep a toe hold in the public eye eh George?
