Mel Gibson 'to make Viking movie' Mel Gibson is no stranger to unusual movie projects, in recent years he has been involved in films such as Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto, which both utilised ancient and largely unknown languages.

Now it seems that he will be switching from Aramaic and Latin to Old Norse.

At a press conference for his latest movie, Edge of Darkness, Gibson talked about his Viking project.

According to collider.com, when asked what language the script will be written in, he replied: “I think it’s going to be English – the English that would have been spoken back then – and Old Norse. Whatever the ninth century had to offer. I’m going to give you real.”

Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star in the Viking flick, while Gibson added that he wants to scare audiences with his depiction of the Norse invaders.

Some of Gibson’s iconic films, such as Braveheart and the Lethal Weapon series, have inspired a selection of T-shirts, which fans of the actor and director may decide to wear in support of his latest project.ADNFCR-2904-ID-19565209-ADNFCR
