Coldplay to sell instruments for charity Coldplay fans will soon be able to bid for guitars, keyboards, amps, posters and other items owned by the band in a special charity auction.

The English four-piece have announced details of their End of Decade Clearout Sale, which will get underway on eBay this Thursday (December 17th) and finish on December 31st.

Significant items from the band’s ten-year career will be made available to bidders, with all proceeds going to the London-based charity Kids Company.

Coldplay said that the auction, which could also include retro T-shirts owned by the band, will feature “all sorts of nostalgia”.

In a statement on their official website, they added: “All items will either be signed by the four of us, or accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, again signed by all of us.”

A catalogue containing details of every available item will be published online before the auction gets underway.

Coldplay released their debut album Parachutes, which featured the hits Yellow and Trouble, in 2000.
