Lily Allen plans ‘democratic fashion’

Lily Allen could soon be swapping new single releases and sell-out concerts for a career selling vintage T-shirts and designer dresses.
The pop star has revealed plans to take a break from music next year, when she will concentrate on setting up a fashion boutique with her sister, as well as founding her own record label.
Speaking to BBC Radio 1, Allen said that the clothes store is set to be called Lucy In Disguise and will aim to bring high-end clothing to the masses.
“It’s about making fashion democratic,” the 24-year-old said.
She continued: “It’s about getting really nice clothes but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars.”
Having become involved in the debate about illegal music downloading earlier this year, the singer described herself as “a neo-luddite” who no longer uses emails or mobile phones.
In October, Allen was spotted wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the word ‘love’ during a trip to Venice with boyfriend Sam Cooper.
