Following Michael Jackson’s death in June last year, there has been no shortage of conspiracy theories, record releases and Michael Jackson T-shirts.
The latest development in the King of Pop’s legacy is the announcement that a Neverland theme park will be constructed in his hometown of Gary in Indiana, according to the Daily Mirror.
Developers intend to build a replica of his Neverland Ranch, complete with a golf course, museum, 300-bed hotel and a Thriller rollercoaster.
Odie Anderson, a theme park operations agent, told the news provider: “We will begin construction of the facilities this year. We have set aside a specific date, tied to a special Jackson event, for the ground breaking.”
Michael Jackson had numerous hit records throughout his career, including Thriller, Smooth Criminal and Bad, which have all inspired a range of retro T-shirts.
The music icon also starred in the film Moonwalker in 1988, which featured a number of his hit songs and videos.
