New artists inducted into Rock Hall of Fame

Genesis are among the latest bands to be given a place in the prestigious Rock Hall of Fame.
Others entering as part of the class of 2010 include Iggy Pop and the Stooges, The Hollies, Jimmy Cliff and ABBA.
Although the Waterloo singers undoubtedly made a massive contribution to music, it’s unlikely that they’ll be appearing on rock T shirts any time soon and there are sure to be some asking if they’re really rock ‘n roll enough.
Either way, it was good to see a couple of British bands joining the hall’s ranks, as well as Iggy Pop without the puppet from the car insurance adverts!
The Stooges performed at the ceremony last night (March 15th) and, predictably, despite the black-tie dress code, Iggy Pop wasn’t wearing his shirt.
Genesis and The Hollies joined the growing list of British rockers inducted into the museum that includes The Beatles, Black Sabbath and The Who.
Let’s hope a few more can make it in next year.
