Curtains for Fall Out Boy? You should never say never in the music business, but it seems that emo rockers Fall Out Boy are calling it a day.

Band member Pete Wentz set the ball rolling earlier this week after making comments on Twitter that the band’s break was likely to be a permanent one.

Cue comments from front-man Patrick Stump, who gave an exclusive interview to Spin Magazine on Wednesday (February 3rd) casting further doubt about the rockers’ future.

“Whether we play again or not, I don’t know. If we do, it will be for the right reasons. If we don’t, it will also be for the right reasons,” he said.

Clear as mud? Well it wasn’t long before the remaining band members weighed in via blogs and Twitter and it seems no one really knows what’s going on.

Although, with all of the lads working on individual projects, it’s unlikely we’ll see the return of Fall Out Boy for a while yet.

The release of their greatest hits album last year may have been a sign that the group was soon to be no more – it looks like fans will need to pack up their merchandise and hope to drag out their retro t-shirts at a later date.ADNFCR-2904-ID-19596793-ADNFCR
