Guns N’ Roses controversy continues as band is bottled off

Axl Rose’s tough week continued last night when Guns N’ Roses were bottled off stage in Dublin.
The band, fresh from a controversial weekend at the Reading and Leeds festivals, emerged more than an hour late for the performance at the O2.
And the crowd didn’t take too kindly to being kept waiting – with some fans taking out their frustration by throwing bottles during opening song Welcome to the Jungle.
Rose responded by issuing a threat, stating: “Here’s the deal, one more bottle, we go home. We want to stay. If you don’t want to have fun just let us know. We’ll be on our way.”
After a few more songs another bottle was thrown and he fulfilled the promise, but the band did return half an hour later to complete the set – although by that time many fans had left.
Rose spent the early part of this week demanding an apology from Reading and Leeds organisers on behalf of Guns N’ Roses fans, after the sets were cut short because of noise curfews.
