The Killers 'to take some time out' US rock band The Killers have revealed that they will be taking a break from the world of music once their run of shows in Australia finishes in February.

Guitarist David Keuning broke the news, stating: “I’m not sure if people are aware of it, but this is probably our last show for a while.”

He explained that the group has been touring and recording constantly since their rise to fame in 2004, adding that they need a break, contactmusic.com reported.

The band’s debut album, Hot Fuss, reached the number one spot in both the UK and Australia.

It featured tracks such as Mr Brightside, Smile Like You Mean It and All These Things I’ve Done.

The songs have inspired indie and rock fans all over the world to dance around in their retro Tshirts.

Since their first album six years ago, The Killers have released three further albums – Sam’s Town, Sawdust and Day & Age.ADNFCR-2904-ID-19559459-ADNFCR
