Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have shown that Scientologists take time out from worshipping giant alien lizards with a little BBC comedy and have ‘come out’ as big fans of everyones favourite Norwich light entertainer Alan Partridge.

Holmes has reportedly been impersonating Steve Coogan’s hapless Radio Norwich DJ to the amusement of her husband.

Cruise is said to have met Coogan at the Los Angeles premiere of Tropic Thunder and recited one of Partridge’s catchphrases.

A source said: “Steve was actually really taken aback by it all because Tom was tickled by the idea of Partridge’s sports casual clothing. He kept coming up to Steve and declaring: ‘I’m sports casual.’

“How surreal must that be to have Tom Cruise announcing that to you in Hollywood? To be fair, Tom did look a bit Partridge in his jeans and blazer, and seemed to be really happy to take the piss out of himself.”

However this was reported in The Daily Star, so it could all be a load of monkey tennis.
