Bafta nominations revealed An Education, The Hurt Locker and Avatar have all scooped eight nominations at this year’s British Academy Film Awards.

All three have been selected in the best film category, alongside Up In The Air and Precious.

James Cameron, director of Avatar, is up against his ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow in the best director category for her film The Hurt Locker, for the second time. Both were also nominated in the category at the Golden Globes, which Cameron won.

Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds received seven nominations, as did District 9 and Up in the Air.

Contenders for the outstanding British film award are An Education, Fish Tank, In The Loop, Moon and Nowhere Boy.

Fans of all the films nominated may want to wear their movie t-shirts in support of their favourite actors or productions.
