Sherlock Holmes 2 already under discussion No sooner have the footprints been ironed out of the red carpet, than producers are already pushing ahead with the next instalment in the Sherlock Holmes saga.

After just one month in cinemas – and with many countries still yet to see the launch of the super-sleuth – Robert Downey Jr and Guy Ritchie have both already committed to the project.

Ritchie is apparently so keen to return to the cobbled streets of Victorian London that he’s canned plans to direct comic book adaptation Lobo.

The alien bounty hunter, who has no doubt appeared on a number of retro Tshirts, will apparently have to wait to make his big screen debut.

Joel Silver, a producer for the Holmes film and Lobo, told the LA Times: “The studio wants us and Guy to focus on making another Sherlock Holmes. So I think we’re going to be doing that.”

Rather vague, but Downey Jr’s decision to drop out of Cowboys and Aliens seems to point in the same direction, as Holmes may say “elementary, my dear Watson”.ADNFCR-2904-ID-19580845-ADNFCR
