Sigourney Weaver to get fangs?
filed in Tv & Movie news on Mar.17, 2010
Sigourney Weaver’s taken on some pretty impressive monsters in her time, from the terrifying Aliens to the comedic spectres of Ghostbusters, so what’s left for her to do?
Apparently, a vampire movie. The guys at Heat Vision blog have revealed that the Avatar star is all set to take on a role in Amy Heckerling’s movie Vamps.
It’s being described as a romantic horror-comedy so if we’re lucky it could at least be a bit different from the barrage of vampire-themed films that have hit our screens over the past year or so.
But rather than play the hero, Weaver is set to take on the part of the vampire who turns the two female stars into creatures of the night – we’ll have to wait and see whether her role will inspire any cool T-shirts based on her character.
Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter have been lined up as the two young vampires who have to choose between immortality and love.
Heat Vision reported that shooting could start later next month so keep your eyes open for more snippets about the story and the movie’s development.
