Record-breaking movie franchise Twilight continues to win new fans on both sides of the Atlantic, with many devotees now sporting custom-made T-shirts.
The Independent reports that the release of the second film in the series, New Moon, has prompted Twilight fans to pledge their allegiance to one of the two main characters.
According to the newspaper, ‘Team Edward’ and ‘Team Jacob’ T-shirts have become an essential accessory for fans, or “Twi-hards” as they are also known.
Kristen Stewart, the actress who plays Bella Swan in the Twilight saga, acknowledged that making a choice between vampire Edward and werewolf Jacob can be a difficult.
She told MTV News: “I go back and forth from being Team Edward and Team Jacob all the time.”
In the US, New Moon made over $70 million (£40 million) at the box office on its opening day – more than any other film in history.
