Previously unheard Joe Strummer track gets an airing

A previously unheard track by Clash legend Joe Strummer is to be aired on BBC Radio Ulster’s Late Show.
“Divorcing Jack” was written but never used by the Clash singer for a low budget film of the same name; a black romantic comedy set around the troubled “peace process” and its effect on a cynical Belfast journalist.
The film was originally a book by author Colin Bateman, who kept the recording secret until now, but the song will be played in a Late Show special dedicated to the singer who died from an undiagnosed congenital heart defect, in December 2002 aged 50.
The show will also have tributes from fans and Strummer associates, and interviews from years ago.

The Late Show with Stuart Bailie is on BBC Radio Ulster on Friday at 2200 BST.
