Jeremy Irons has revealed that he will take to the stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in March for the first time in 23 years.
The international film star, who has had roles in movies such as Die Hard: With a Vengeance and The Man in the Iron Mask, is set to appear in The Gods Weep at London's Hampstead Theatre from March 12th.
Written by Dennis Kelly, the production tells the story of a businessman - played by Irons - who "unleashes a bloody power struggle when he decides to divide up his empire between his subordinates".
Fans of the Oscar-winning performer may want to attend one of the shows in a vintage T-shirt featuring one of Irons' films to show their support for him.
Jeremy Irons last worked with the RSC in 1986/7 when he took on the part of Leontes in The Winter's Tale and the title role in Richard II.
Some of his most recent film credits include Eragon and the Pink Panther 2.
Captain America is the latest in a string of comic book heroes to get the big-screen treatment.
Director Quentin Tarantino has hinted that a sequel to the Kill Bill movies is on the cards.
The debut film by street artist Banksy will be screened at the Berlinale Film Festival later this month.
