Movie T-shirts news: Gremlins 3 rumours spread

26/01/2010

Following in the footsteps of Ghostbusters, it appears that another classic 80s film is set for an overhaul.

Rumours are flying around about a remake of Gremlins - or will it be a sequel? - but with no cast, crew or release date, the details are sketchy at best.

The latest snippet of information to be revealed comes courtesy of the MarketSaw blog - apparently, Gremlins 3 will be available in 3D.

It looks like the kids of the 80s will see another film from their childhood rehashed and back on the big screen.

But the revelation that it will be in 3D means it's unlikely to herald a return of the fluffy puppets from the original and is more likely to adopt the CGI route to recreate the mischievous creatures.

According to Cinema Blend, director Joe Dante is not going to be behind the third film. The website pointed out that in 2006, he stated that the studio "wouldn't ask him" to make a new Gremlins movie.

With so few details, fans will have plenty of time to find their retro T-shirts featuring Gizmo and the gang in time for the latest instalment of midnight mayhem.ADNFCR-2788-ID-19578418-ADNFCR
