Buckle up for Fast and Furious 5

Audiences may be getting ready to race to the cinemas with a fifth Fast and Furious film on the cards.

It's fair to say that there will always be a market for awesome cars driven incredibly fast with a few attractive women chucked in for good measure.

With this in mind, Universal is preparing another instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise.

According to Variety magazine, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and director Justin Lin are already on board for the latest movie.

The screenplay, currently called Fast Five, is being written as we speak by Chris Morgan, who was responsible for two previous Fast and Furious films.

It doesn't look like there'll be any big surprises, details are vague at this stage, but it seems the film will follow Brian and Dom (Walker and Diesel) on the run from the law.

There will no doubt be plenty of tyre-screeching, engine-revving action along the way.

It's hard to believe that it's been almost ten years since the first film hit the cinemas, which may mean tops sporting slogans from the movie count as retro t-shirts now.
