Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have been officially unveiled as stars of the upcoming Batman flick The Dark Knight Rises, which comes out next year.
With Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway already confirmed as Batman and Catwoman, the film already had plenty of star power.
But now Cotillard and Gordon-Levitt have joined the Warner Bros project to play Wayne Enterprises board member Miranda Tate and police officer John Blake respectively.
Director Christopher Nolan, who worked with the pair on mind-bending sci-fi hit Inception, said he immediately thought of them when it came to casting.
He added: "When you collaborate with people as talented as Marion and Joe, it comes as no surprise that you would want to repeat the experience."
The Dark Knight Rises will be the third Batman film helmed by Nolan, who enjoyed huge critical and commercial success with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
