Banksy's first foray into the world of film making will be shown at the Sundance Film Festival, which will run for ten days from January 21st, it has been revealed.
According to the BBC, Banksy's film Exit Through The Gift Shop will have its international premiere at the event in Utah.
Described as "the world's first street art disaster movie", it is sure to appeal to fans of the artist, who will no doubt wear Banksy t-shirts when they go to see the film, which opens in UK cinemas on March 5th.
The news provider added that the production includes footage of Banksy and other infamous street artists at work, although it is not known whether Banksy will finally shed his anonymity.
John Cooper, director of the Sundance Festival, commented: "[It] is one of those films that comes along once in a great while, a warped hybrid of reality and self-induced fiction while at the same time a totally entertaining experience."
A host of acts have been announced for this year's Leeds and Reading festivals.
Paranormal Activity, the latest 'micro-budget' horror movie, is currently the UK's most popular film.
The Lord of the Rings director told the BBC that the new Tintin movie exists "in a very rough state".
