Vintage T-shirts news: Johnny Depp receives wooden fish in Bahamas

Johnny Depp was presented with a wooden fish statuette in recognition of his life's work in the Bahamas yesterday (December 13th).

The Hollywood star received the award from fellow actor Sir Sean Connery at the Bahamas International Film Festival in Nassau.

After being handed the unusual prize, Depp said he was "amazed" to be regularly offered major film roles "after all this time".

The 46-year-old added: "I just go to work like anyone else, except my job is a little stranger."

Depp, who has a home in the Bahamas, made his screen debut in A Nightmare on Elm Street in 1984.

He has has inspired many vintage T-shirts with subsequent roles, including Ed Wood, Donnie Brasco, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

In March next year, the Kentucky-born actor will appear as The Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's new version of Alice in Wonderland.
