Cheryl Cole to support Black Eyed Peas

After their disappointment at the French NRJ music awards earlier this week, where the stars were announced the winners of the best international group gong, only to have it taken away moments later, it's good to see them brush it off and march on.

And the Black Eyed Peas have picked up a high-profile hitch-hiker for their European tour.

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has announced she will be supporting the US chart-toppers in a bid to break into the continental market.

It's a good combination apparently, as Peas singer Will.I.Am collaborated with Cheryl on their duet 3 Words.

A source close to the singer told the Daily Star that working with the Haitian-born performer is "opening new doors" for the Geordie lass and said that she is "absolutely delighted" to be taking part in the tour.

It will be interesting to see if our European neighbours embrace Mrs Cole with the same enthusiasm as the British public - we could even see some of her adoring fans wearing Cheryl Cole music tee shirts in the future.
